Who We Are

Morris Community Church is a multicultural and multigenerational church in Morris County, New Jersey, where people from every background can come to know Jesus, find family, and grow as lifelong disciples empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Our Values

We exist to make Jesus known by discipling all generations and cultures to know, follow, and share Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Vision

To love people and make Jesus known through the power of the Holy Spirit.

This vision is rooted in:

  • Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

  • Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

  • But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Our Pastors

Pastor Jonathan and Emmy Acevedo are passionate about helping people know Jesus, find family, and grow in their faith. Together with their children, Jaylin and Eli, they serve Morris Community Church with a passion for Spirit-filled ministry, authentic community, and biblical teaching. 

Their vision is to see the whole individual impacting their social-emotional and spiritual well beings. They desire to see lives transformed by the love of Christ, building healthy individuals, healthy families, and a healthy church that impact the community and beyond. They would love to welcome you and your family as together they pursue the mission of Loving People. Making Jesus Known.
